Dear Alhassan donors, supporters and believers,

Thank you for donating to “Social Awareness about Differently Abled in Egypt” project. This project is mainly what our mission and vision are about. We believe that by changing the mentality of people and how they perceive physically-challenged people, we will spend less time and effort demanding wheelchair users’ basic human rights; it’ll be a given to consider their needs.

Due to the COVID-19 crisis, we’ve suspended our quarterly orientation gatherings to ensure the safety of our beneficiaries and staff and we tried to find an alternative way to stay in touch with our beneficiaries and introduce new members to our services; consequently, we:

  1. Started a series of live videos on our facebook page. Each one of these live videos discusses a chapter of Gary Karp’s “Life on Wheels”. Life on Wheels is primarily a guidebook for those with mobility issues, offering practical information on how to:
  • Adapt your home
  • Choose a wheelchair
  • Start a family
  • Take care of your body and much more!
  1. Make weekly videos that explain each of our projects and sub-projects and their eligibility criteria.

These videos raise the awareness of abled people and physically challenged people alike. We’re constantly trying to foster “I can do!” attitude in our beneficiaries whilst changing the way abled people see the differently abled people through showing examples of active and accomplished challenged people and showing how a successful entity like Alhassan Foundation is mostly operated by wheelchair users and that we don’t just use empty slogans.

Thank you dear donors for your donations; your support is what enables us in our mission so we urge you to continue supporting our cause and stay loyal donors to our cause through subscribing to a monthly recurring donation option. That will help kids on wheelchair in Egypt be more confident and accomplished.
