Parents in Baraka
Hi!
School has been back in session for a few weeks now and that means thousands of kids, from kindergarten through high school, are going back to learning new things and sharing new experiences with others. It also means that more than ever, the kids will need accurate and simple information on how and where to get clean water, clean their hands, and stay healthy.
Over the summer, we provided a few teachers with pamphlets, posters, purification tablets and soap to ensure they were ready for the new school year. In the first few days of school, we met with a few young children’s parents, who were beaming with joy and pride as they watched their children go to school, and got reassurance that the water they will drink while at school will be safe.
We are encountering challenges acquiring enough resources to share with beneficiaries, so please continue to spread the word about the project so that we can continue our work!
Thanks for your support

Hi! I just learned how to stay healthy
Hello!
A few weeks back, we met this little girl on our way to one of the villages along the Uvira-Baraka route. The kids at her school, along with many of the adults we got together with, were very welcoming and attentive to the information we gave them about how to think about safe water. A dozens of bars of soap were distributed, and sugar and salt were donated to village elders for emergency use.
Water-borne diseases in Congo are a real problem, and we are offering real solutions. Help us prevent cholera and typhoid fever. Most of all, help us prevent little girls like this one from dying needlessly. Every little bit can help! Share this page with friends and family. There are a few thousands we still need to raise, and we can do it if you share with as many people as you can.
Thank you for your commitment to making the world a better and healthier place, one little girl at a time.

Dear donors,
What has happened in the last 3 months? Well, we continue to carry out our mission to eradicate water-borne diseases in Congo:
- We have delivered soap and educated 15 families on safe water practices, and we are planning on reaching 50 more in the coming weeks.
- Additionally, we organized a successful education session for a group of 31 local teachers and parents in the South-Kivu province of the Democratic Republic of Congo, covering the basics of water safety and disease prevention, and treatment. The session specifically consisted of local health professionals explaining how one can get sick from untreated water, cholera and typhoid prevention, and how to mix the prefect sugar-salt solution to prevent dehydration. Take a look at a picture of parents and teachers below.
We are still striving to reach the amount we need continue the project on a larger scale, so if you know of any organization that can fund projects, collaborate with us, please do not hesitate to contact us. Thank you for continuing to spread the word to friends and family.
Your generosity, efforts, and support are greatly appreciated!
