Soap and Water to Save Hundreds of Congolese Kids

Dear supporters, are you enjoying the holidays?

It’s a time for celebration, which is why I want to let you know that thousands of miles away, families are hoping to celebrate with their children disease-free. You can help make that happen by spreading the word about this project!

We continue to carry out our mission to eradicate water-borne diseases in Congo:

•  In the last three months, we have helped 39 families with soap, education on safe water practices, and how to ensure that children do not succumb to dehydration if they get sick from dirty water. The families have also received Large Plastic containers to capture rainwater, or store well water in a sterile environment. See a picture of a blue container above.
•  That’s not all: we have gone to Lycee Faraja (a high school in the village of Baraka, in the South-Kivu province of the Democratic Republic of Congo). During our visit to the school, we taught very attentive groups of students (nearly 100 teens total) about safe water practices and hygiene.  With your help, we hope to raise more money next quarter, as we strive to reach our ultimate goal of $10,000.
