Sijonge Kuwe job creation&poverty alleviation

It was business as usual at Sijonge Kuwe Youth Development Project during this period.We are in the middle of winter season with heavy rain and cold wether.

8 new businesses were established ,

11 people were trained in beads making 

14 people were trained basic business skills training which is a two weeks training on how to run a business.

18 businesses were counselled on topics like how to draw up a business plan,marketing,costing & pricing as well as record keeping.

Networking/Meetings attended-a number of meetings were attended including a ward meeting with Local Councillor Andile abut new developments in the area.

Fundraising-We would to Siwahla Ndlwana for the generous donation of 20 US Dollas 

Conclusion-We would also thank GlobalGiving for supporting our project during this period.

Sijonge Kuwe Youth Development Project has been very active in this quarter from November 2024 to this date 7 March 2025.Our programme continue to attract more people from surrounding communities of Khayelitsha.

Art/Culture Skills Training

12 people including 5 women were trained on how to make beads

Business Skills Training

15 People were trained in basic business skills including 3 entrepreneurs from surrounding communities

Business Counselling

10 Businesesses were counselled on business related issues like how to draw up a Business Plan,Marleting your products,Costing & Pricing as well as Record Keeping

New Businesses

6 New businesses were started during this quater
