It caused 318 casualties and 1179 injuries. 49933 households were entirely damaged and 23714 households were partially damaged.
Civic Forum had received some donations in past, we were able to distribute some help for earthquake survivors. What we had done is, we had provided temporary shelter construction support in the Banakhu VDC. The help was provided to poor and marginalized household family.
Now as we will be able to receive some more help, we will assist the ones we helped before with better construction of their shelters. Since the rain season is start in Nepal, we also aim to help them with keeping their shelters safe than before. Likewise, we will be able to improve the previous supported shelters to a very large extent. Lastly, we will also assist them to turn their temporary shelters into permanent owns.
