Dear Supporters and Well Wishers,
Greetings from Lord Buddha Home for Children!!
I am excited to present the progress report of past few months as they were exciting and full of activities in the LBHC Home. With every children promoted to new class from April, 2016 and the start of summer vacation children were very excited. This year children were given the opportunity to learn some vocational skills during their summer vacation besides their regular leisure time when they had ample fun.
Out of 68 children presently residing in LBHC Home, 42 came forward and enrolled themselves for one of the vocational skill trade they were interested to learn. The proposed trades were: Basic Computers, which enrolled the maximum students i,e,: 24. The other trades were Mobile Repairing- 10 students, Beautician couse- 6 girls and Sewing course- 2 girls. The course curriculum was defined and the classes were taken diligently by experienced teachers.
The students are very happy to learn their respective trades and are happy with the support. Besides, the fun element of summer vacation was maintained by regular movie shows on sundays, daily game time and exposure visit to nearby places for learning purpose.
The students also celebrated the World Environment Day on 5th June, 2016 and even conducted a rally to create awareness on plantation in the nearby areas. Elocution and Drawing competition was organised on Environment day and the winners were gifted prizes.
With so much of activities the summer vacation has come to an end and kids are back to school with some new skills in their arsenal and happily began their school.
Thanking you
With Regards
Shweta Sinha
