Dear Reader
The quarter started with reopening of school after summer break with full enthusiasm and energized team and students. School students were given a new modified computer lab with all facilities by one of our patron.
Main activities during the quarter revolved around
Independence Day celebration This year theme was “Swatantrata se vikas ki aur”. Independence day Celebration at Setu started with tribute to the Soldiers who lost their lives for the nation and was an event dedicated towards Women Empowerment. - Flag Hoisting by the Young Teachers of Setu. Educational Cultural event at Setu School was organised by an all women Staff - Swatantrata se vikas ke aur A Great Show and learning experience which concluded with distribution of Food hampers to all the Setu students.
Corporate visit: Students visited Aristocrat Noida and Gurgaon. They interacted with volunteers, played games and were given gifts. Volunteers from FIL visited School in the month of July. They conducted activities in each class. In senior classes they discussed topics like menstrual hygiene and safe touch.Volunteers from PWC are regularly visiting for remedial classes of 8th , 9th and 11th. They are involved in teaching students in small groups. We are thankful to all of them who are giving their valuable time.
Counseling of students : Counselor from Mayoor School visit our center regularly and meet those students who need extra attention. Students are now comfortable with the counselor and have started sharing their issues with her. Ms Shivani has been regularly visiting to school, for the counseling of class 9th. She uses different activities so that students can express their thoughts.
Health Camp: On 31st July general health checkup camp was organized for school students. 257 students were examined.
Celebrations: Janamashtmi was celebrated with enthusiasm in School. Pre-primary students put up a fashion show which everyone enjoyed whole heartedly.
Birthday celebration are continued on every Saturday, donors support us by giving cake for the celebration.
As a tradition, senior class celebrated Teacher’s day. They invited all teachers in advance and organized an event for them which included games, quiz and Fashion show.
Ganesh Chathurthi was celebrated by welcoming Ganesh Idol for one and a half day. It was biodegradable, purely made of mud, the Idol was immersed in water which eventually used for watering plants.
Trainings and workshops: To enhance the skills of our teachers we organize or send them to attend workshops. In September our four teachers attended workshop on Presentation skills and excel.
