SEL Curriculum for Rural Children in China

Thank you for your continuous attention and support to the public welfare projects of Rici Organization. Generally, in May, the Spring 2023 semester of Mental Literacy courses began to finish. In the process of finishing the course, the partners of the project team visited the rural school where the course started, watched the actual situation of the teachers in class, and carried out a series of training on the improvement of teachers' teaching ability.

In county, children are reaping the rewards. In Zhengzhou City, Henan Province, Tianshui City, Gansu Province, Ye County, Jianghua, Henan Province and Puyang City, Henan Province, a total of 5 schools have carried out the campus activities. In the process, Rici’s activity package received unanimous positive feedback from the teachers and students participating in the whole school.

At the same time, Rici project staffs continued to visit multiple project sites to promote the optimization of the project. In May, the project staff visited 9 primary and secondary schools in Longsheng County. What’s more, the project staff visited the project sites of Longsheng in Guangxi, Ji 'an City in Jiangxi Province, and Heshi Town in Taihe County to listen to the suggestions and needs of local partners for the project, and help the continuous optimization and adjustment of the project model.

Finally, Rici is also committed to learning and improving teachers' psychological teaching ability. On May 12, Rici invited professor to carry out corresponding training for Longsheng mental health education teachers, which was unanimously praised by county teachers.

All this is thanks to the encouragement and support of all donors. It is your love that makes more children receive better mental health education and better campus mental health activities. Let more teachers have the opportunity to learn mental health knowledge and pass it on to more rural children. Of course, we are fully aware that there is still a long way to go, and there are still more difficulties to overcome and greater goals to achieve.
