"I want to teach others"

Winnie
My name is Winnie and I am 11 years old. I live with my mom and dad and 6 brothers and sisters. I enjoy going to school because the teachers teach well and have good manners. My favorite subject is science and I also enjoy learning about sanitation. I like to read books with my friends. I don’t like coming home and washing dishes and other chores. I would like to become a teacher someday to teach others and provide them with knowledge like my teachers have done for me.
I hope one day to live in Northern Uganda where my grandmother and great grandmother live. When I go to visit, I love to work in the garden with my grandmother.
For just $20 a month, you can give Winnie the gift of an education.

The Innocence of Innocent

Innocent
Meet Innocent: I am 14 years old and live with my mother and sister. I love school because it is the place where we go to learn. My favorite class is science because we learn about sanitation. I believe the environment must be clean. When I come home from school, I can often be found cleaning the compound with my best friend, Jared.
I struggle with math, but I look to my friends to help me when I don’t understand something. My teachers are also patient and will help when I need extra help. I live in Kampala now, but when I finish my studies, I hope to return to my village in the North, Kitgum. There is plentiful work in Kitgum and my grandmother lives there. I enjoy spending time with her and growing crops together. If we have a garden, we will always have food.
You can help. A $25 donation provides a monthly scholarship for a child like Innocent. Consider giving the gift, the opportunity, of education to a child who would not otherwise have it.
