Often, decisions are made for the community rather than with them. Feedback Labs believes that people are the best experts in their lives and should drive the policies and programs that impact them. At Feedback+Jacksonville, those who are committed to making feedback the norm will have the opportunity to learn and improve their feedback practices. This project seeks to sponsor attendance for grassroots leaders in an effort to remove financial barriers and create a more accessible experience.
Programs are more successful when they ask constituents what they want and need. However, many grassroots leaders don't have the financial means to attend trainings and meet with others that can help them improve their feedback practices. They need help getting to feedback gatherings where they can share their experiences and access knowledge, tools, and relationships.
Your support will enable front-line practitioners and grassroots leaders from smaller organizations to share and improve their feedback practices. Supporting this project will enable them to access training, resources, networking opportunities, and conferences offered by Feedback Labs and the broader feedback community, such as the Feedback+Jacksonville Summit.
The feedback community envisions a world where people are empowered with tools and knowledge to enact feedback loops in their work. Further, we envision a world where listening and responding to constituents is the norm. This starts by ensuring the field is accessible to organizations of all sizes. Reducing financial barriers allows frontline practitioners to share and improve their feedback practices, and takes us all one step closer towards achieving that vision in an equitable way.
