"Vulnerable" Means "Giving Up Is Not An Option"

By EVA LOKKO | CEO

Which Vulnerable Girl Should We Give Up?
Which Vulnerable Girl Should We Give Up?

When there is an enabling environment and the playing grounds are leveled, any society or indvidual has the right to question why some people are not applying themselves and are trying to "sponge off" others who have worked hard and earned their due rewards. Yes, this will be a fair and justified question in this scenario. Unfortunately, for the vulnerable young women under this project, there was never any real opportunities due to the fact of failed national systems that placed them in impoverished, under-served, low-income and more often than not harsh, natural environments. With no access or means to education for several generations of families and parents, these young women have no choice whatsoever, but to do whatever it takes to eat occassional meals, cover themselves with tattared clothing and sleep under the skies with the barest protection.

Every human being needs support, direction, mentoring, training, etc to become self-supporting in life and this is all that this project is requesting for these vulnerable young women wallowing in abject poverty who are being exploited, physically, sexually and mentally on a daily basis. We are therefore very grateful that we have been able to put a few things together to try and help as many of these young women as we can and turn them into productive citizens who in turn can be real ambassadors for change to their peers.

Unfortunately we have not been able to put enough together to really roll out this project effectively. But we do not have the option to give up our quest because our target beneficiaries cannot afford to give up. We are therefore making this sincere appeal to all who read this report or learn about this project in other way, to please help us make this worthy cause a reality.

We are very much aware that you have the right to your hard earned and deserving rewards from your efforts in life. Some of us may even have seen worse times at some points in our lives. Fortunately, through some "twist of fate" or good fortune, we came out of our plight. Please let us help these vulnerable young women by donating whatever amounts we can as one-off donations or monthly recurrent donations.

Based on our calcurations, if we can raise the amount indicated for the sustainability of the project, this project will be self-reliant in a year and we can continue to help enough young women to create a pool that will ensure that the number of vulnerable young women will reduce to very insignificant figures over a short period of time (domino effect and all).. Our reports and especially our "End of Project Report" will put you right in the center of this truth. We need your support urgently.

It is never too late to help a vulnerable young women, who does not have the option nor luxury to give up. Thank you for all your kind consederations and support. God bless.
