As we approach the end of the year, we want to take a moment to reflect on the incredible impact your support has made and to express our heartfelt gratitude. While we wish the circumstances were different—that the need for humanitarian aid had diminished—the reality of the ongoing conflict makes your generosity more vital than ever.

Your continued kindness and contributions have allowed “Daruj Dobro” to provide relief to countless individuals and families whose lives have been upended by the Russia-Ukraine conflict. It is because of your unwavering support that we are able to bring hope, comfort, and assistance to those in their darkest hours.

Looking Back on 2024:

This year has been particularly challenging, marked by a sharp escalation in violence. Bombings in civilian areas have displaced thousands and left communities struggling to access even the most basic necessities. In response, we have concentrated our efforts on addressing the most pressing needs:

1.Relocating Families to Safer Areas: Thanks to your support, we have facilitated the safe relocation of many families from high-risk zones to secure temporary shelters. This effort has provided them with not just safety, but also a chance to rebuild their lives.

2.Providing Temporary Housing: For those whose homes have been destroyed, we’ve worked tirelessly to provide temporary housing solutions. These safe spaces have offered families warmth, security, and a sense of stability in an otherwise chaotic time.

3.Delivering Medical Assistance: Access to healthcare and medical supplies remains a critical priority. Through your contributions, we’ve been able to deliver life-saving medical supplies and ensure that those in need receive timely care.

As we reflect on the first quarter of 2024, we are compelled to share the urgent realities and heightened challenges faced by those in need.

Overview of First Quarter Activities:

The past few months have been marked by intensified conflict and escalating violence, particularly in regions like Kharkiv. Despite the adversities, your continued generosity has enabled "Daruj Dobro" to persist in our humanitarian efforts.

Escalating Conflict and Increased Bombing:

In the past month and a half, the frequency and intensity of bombings have surged, exacerbating an already dire situation. The repercussions are felt acutely, with many communities, especially in Kharkiv, enduring prolonged periods without access to essential utilities such as hot water and electricity.

Critical Needs for Kharkiv:

In Kharkiv, the situation is particularly dire. Many households are without hot water, light, and access to essential services. To address these pressing needs, we require an influx of generators, water heaters, and other crucial supplies to provide relief to the affected communities.

Providing Essential Services:

Our focus in the first half of 2024 is to ensure that families have access to basic necessities such as shelter, warmth, and connectivity. To achieve this, we are urgently seeking support for the following initiatives:

1. Generator Distribution:Your contributions will enable us to procure and distribute generators to households in Kharkiv and other affected regions, ensuring access to electricity for heating and essential appliances.

2. Starlink Connectivity:Access to the internet is vital for communication, information dissemination, and accessing support services. Your support will facilitate the provision of Starlink terminals to communities lacking reliable internet connectivity.

3. Water Heater Installation:We aim to install water heaters in households deprived of hot water, providing essential comfort and sanitation during the cold winter months.
