As we prepare for the colder months ahead, we wanted to take a moment to share an update on what has been happening at Daruj Dobro throughout the summer and how we are preparing for the challenges of the upcoming season.

The summer months have continued to bring significant needs for families and communities affected by the ongoing war. Despite these challenges, our team, volunteers, and local partners have remained active, providing humanitarian assistance and staying connected with the people and communities we support.

With the help of our donors, we have been able to maintain our ongoing programs and respond to needs as they arise, while also beginning to plan ahead for the more difficult months of fall and winter.

Key Updates:

• Continued Humanitarian Support: Throughout the summer, we continued providing essential assistance to vulnerable families and individuals, including food, household necessities, medical supplies, and other basic items. Our priority has remained helping people meet their immediate needs while ensuring that support reaches those who are most vulnerable.
• Support for Communities Affected by the War: Our volunteers and local partners have continued working directly with affected communities, maintaining relationships with families and identifying changing needs on the ground. This allows us to respond where assistance is most urgently needed rather than relying only on long-term planning.
• Preparing for the Colder Months: As summer comes to an end, preparation for fall and winter is becoming an increasingly important priority. The colder season brings additional difficulties for families living in damaged homes, displaced people, and those already struggling with limited resources. In the coming months, we will be looking to purchase and distribute warm clothing, blankets, winter essentials, and other supplies for vulnerable families. We will also work to equip and support shelters and temporary housing locations with items needed to keep people warm and safe during the winter.
• Supporting Shelters and Temporary Housing: Where possible, we will continue helping shelters and temporary accommodation centers prepare for colder weather by providing essential household supplies, heating-related necessities, bedding, and other items that can make these spaces safer and more comfortable for those who have been displaced.
• Looking Ahead: The needs of the communities we serve can change quickly, and we remain committed to staying flexible and responding accordingly. As we move into the fall and winter, we will continue prioritizing humanitarian assistance, support for vulnerable families, and emergency needs while preparing for the additional challenges that the colder months may bring.

The continued support of our donors makes it possible for us to plan ahead while still responding to urgent needs as they arise. Every contribution helps us provide practical assistance to people who are facing circumstances far beyond their control.
