Dear Friends and Supporters,
As 2025 comes to a close, we want to take a moment to thank you for standing with us through one of the most challenging years our community has faced. Every time we need to write a new report we hope it is going to be a positive one, with a lot of great updates, but unfortunately this time it is yet again, not as positive.
This year was marked by constant uncertainty. Repeated bombings disrupted daily life and humanitarian operations alike. Power outages became frequent and prolonged, sometimes people had power for only 1-2 hours a day, complicating everything from communications to food storage, heating, and medical coordination. As winter arrived, temperatures dropped to nearly –15°C (5°F), creating additional hardship for families already living under extreme stress.
Despite these conditions, your support allowed us to continue our work.
Because of you:
We were able to maintain aid delivery even during periods of active shelling and infrastructure shutdowns.
We adapted quickly to power outages by changing distribution schedules, securing alternative power sources where possible, and prioritizing the most vulnerable.
We provided critical support during the coldest months, when heating, warm clothing, and basic supplies became a matter of survival rather than comfort.
We continued to show up — consistently — even when conditions made every task slower, harder, and more dangerous.
Nothing about this year was easy. Logistics were unpredictable, access was often limited, and every plan had to remain flexible. Yet, time and again, your generosity made it possible for us to keep going when stopping would have been the easier option. Without you, we would not be able to achieve any of this.
Most importantly, your support sent a powerful message to the people we serve: they were not forgotten — even during blackouts, bombings, and freezing nights.
As we move into 2026, the needs remain urgent, but so does our determination. Thank you for trusting us, for believing in this work, and for being part of a community that chooses compassion even in the darkest circumstances.
With deep gratitude,
Daruj Dobro Team
