The Ukrainian Red Cross cares for thousands of children daily.
One of the core activities is psychosocial support for internally displaced kids and those who have been through traumatizing experiences. These include classes with elements of creativity that help children relax, get rid of emotional tension, feel safe and develop stress resilience.
The activities span 19 regions. As of October 2023 we have engaged over 252,000 kids across Ukraine.
Other field of our work that involves children, is spreading awareness about unexploded ordnance dangers. More than 26,000 children have benefitted from the URC mine danger workshops.
Additionally, URC has allocated funds for a construction of two modular two-storey houses in Lviv that can accommodate over 100 young monthers with kids or pregnant women who have been internally displaced.
