Ukraine is home to more than 5.5 million children under 14 years old, according to a report by the United Nations Population Fund in April. The data from the International Organization for Migration in Ukraine indicates that more than 1 million children have been internally displaced. Your contribution will help alleviate the suffering and give young Ukrainians their childhood back.
How does war affect childhood? 5.5 million Ukrainian children under 14 lost their childhood to the war. They can't go to school, must run to shelter every day, and can't sleep due to the nightly attacks. According to the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine, 483 children were killed and 989 wounded. Behind every number - is a life of a little Ukrainian: newborns, preschoolers, and schoolchildren.
The Ukrainian Red Cross care for thousands of children daily: we provide shelter to those who have lost their homes and help evacuate those who left it because of the occupation; provide food, clothing, shoes, and other essentials - even toys, to bring back the warmth of childhood; we conduct creative classes, active games, and family events to support the mental health of children who have experienced rocket or tank attacks, bomb blasts, occupation, evacuation, and even the loss of relatives.
Together we can do more. We need your support.Your help today means a chance for survival for hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians. Your support today means the salvation of the Ukrainian nation.
