Improving health for local community

Hello Friends,
Wish you all a great new year ahead from Santi team and children. We have achieved many new things in past quarter. Here are few important updates.
- The empowerment center is a central location for our various activities. Santi is providing training to 27 poor and needy tribal girls 3 months of training. This training is in collaboration with Puri School of Nursing and ITDA ( Integrated Tribal Developlment Agency). The goal of this training is to provide these girls job opportunities in various health care centers. The collaborated team will help us to provide placement for these children.
- The Santi Empowerment center is still incomplete. Verandah, Staircase, boundary wall and few toilets are still incomplete.
We wish you can support more so that we can complete these in 2018. And we will do some amazing work in our empowerment center.

Installation of Bore Well

We installed a bore well at the cost of 1200 USD. There are other things to be done on our list to complete the construction of Empowerment Center. We want to conduct many more programs and want to collaborate with the government and private organizations. These institutions will collaborate with us if we show them that we can complete the building on our own. In this project we are now falling short of 10000 USD.
We need to complete the construction of the following items:
1) Safety tank
2) 3 Bathrooms
3) Verandah
4) Stair Case
5) Boundary Wall
6) Sanitation (Septic Tank)
Please contribute for this project as this building is the backbone of the other two programs that we are running.Thanks for your support.

Computer Training and Youth Training Activities

Hello Friends,
We are doing many activities in our Santi Empowerment Center. Here are few activities.
- We are planning to create a skill development training program under PMKVY (Pradhan Mantri Kushal Vikash Yojana). A meeting with young ladies was conducted and moving forward in positive direction.
- 45 days of computer training was conducted by Santi with help of Nehru Yuva Kendra. This training was provided to 25 young girls and boys of local community who need help. This kind of computer training is not possible without Santi’s help.
- On international yoga day, we conducted a yoga and meditation training to all our kids. This early program provides an exposure to mental peace and physical fitness. We will try to incorporate that in our daily routine as we do our morning prayers.
Due to scarcity of funds, the building construction is not progressed well. We are in serious need of funding close to $ 12,000. Please extend your gratitude to complete this building construction.
