Dear Friends,
SANTI Empowerment Center is the prime location to organize many activities. Completion of this building is vital to operate our various activities.
Following important events were organized recently:
- On March 13th Swachha Bharat Health Awareness program was carried out and many attendees attended this event. The main theme for this event was to create awareness of health related issues to rural public. SANTI Students performed dance, Speech competition and toilet usage to create health awareness.
- Various sewing training programs are ongoing in this building. These programs have been generated lot of interest among poor young girls and they are able to stitch Indian dresses such as Salwar Suit, Blouse and soft toys etc. This training center is a perfect venue to make them successful in learning and earning money.
- SANTI organized a free computer training program for poor rural young people. There were 30 students benefitted by this program which was run in this building.
Unfortunately we couldn’t progress towards completing this building as shortage of funding. Please come forward to support this work.
Thanks

SANTI has been assigned to start skill development initiative under Pradhan Mantri Kousal Vikash Yojana (PMKVY) & National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) on General Duty Assistance (GDA) and is planning to train 25 participants in the first batch. As per the requirements of "PMKVY" we are planning to install CCTV and Biometric device in the training hall. We have also purchased 30 desks for the above initiative.
The Additional District Medical Officer (ADMO) with his staff visited on date 19 Nov,2016 our training hall for field appraisal on community process (training to urban slum dwellers on community health). We had applied for this earlier.
To complete the SANTI center so that training can happen for all the above programs we need about 10000 USD for the below stuff.
1) Bore Well
2) Safety tank
3) 3 Bathrooms
4) Verandah
5) Stair Case
6) Boundary Wall
7) Sanitation
This is holiday season and Global Giving has a lot of matching opportunities, please donate so that we can complete the center in the next 3 months.
The 2016 #GivingTuesday campaign will begin November 29th, 2016, at 00:00:01 EST and end at 23:59:59 EST on November 29th, 2016 and there would be 50% matching for all the donations done on that day.

12 new Bed frames
Hello Friends
Hope you are doing well, we would like to share our progress and achievements in past few months regarding the progress of constructing the Empowerment Center.
- Thanks to our generous donor, as we have bought 12 bed frames will be used by SANTI children to sleep. Currently they don’t have bed to sleep due to space issue.
- We are continuing to provide sewing training to needy teenage girls. This empowerment center provides a one stop center to organize various social activities. Because we have our own building we can do many pretty beneficial social activities.
- We have applied for funding to government authority to train unemployed poor youth from our area. Based on our capabilities and experiences we are hopeful to get this new social work funded by Government.
- Regarding the Empowerment Center construction, we finished remaining 7 windows, glass fitting with paintings.
- Installed 2 wall racks/ Almira with glass fittings to house so that soft toys made by SANTI students can be displayed.
- 30 truckloads of clay were filled up in front of the building to bring soil to the same level.
We need your donation to construct a bore well for water supply, Verandah, Stair case to roof access, Boundary wall etc. Please do support through globalgiving.com.
With Gratitude
