250 Fuel Efficient Cooking stove constructed in 10 new villages near Matli

AHD female team visited some 10 new villages in the month of Sept to Oct and organized them into the village women groups, about 250 families participated in the training facilitated by the staff of AHD for the women health improvement. Now 10 women CBOs organized and some 250 women get trained and constructed AHD Model Fuel Efficient Cooking stove at household level. The 250 FES Cooking stove will save 50% wood means 1,250 kg wood on daily basis and it will also save women from the smoke they inhaling during the use of traditional cooking stove.   

Hope on this Holiday season we can raise funds for the tree plantation and cooking stove for women in rural areas of Badin, Thatta, Sujawal & Tando M. Khan.

Tree Plantation by farmers in coastal area of Sindh

 

Mr. Jaglo age 48 years resident of a Village near Jati of district Sujawal, Mr. Jaglo loves to plant trees, he planted a Tree name: Conocarpus  on large scale in his farming lands. Some 1000 trees of Conocaprus plantated on the boundry wall of his land and fruit tree names Mango, Guava, lemon and Chiku planted on limited scale. Further he plan to plant 5,000 tree incoming year, he prepared land for Nursery plantation. The plastic bags and sand given by AHD staff and further he will plant local forest trees to raise nursery in his areas.

Further AHD also plan to provide material to open 10 new nurseries in coastal area to increase tree plantation and environmental sustainability in disaster hit areas of coastal in Sindh.

Support for Floods & Disaster Mitigation  

Badin & Thatta is considered as low income and poverty stricken districts of Sindh Pakistan after Tharparkar. The recent heavy rain spell during 24-26 July results flooding in more than 600 villages in Badin districts, some 54 villages in Hajji Sawan & Budho Kamabrani also affected largely. The Rain Water enters in to the houses of poor villagers and they shifted their house utensils etc to safe places.

The Tree plantation in said villages is very low, our AHD staff team visited the sites and areas, as well as villages and found on plantation of trees, once again we at AHD want to distribute forest tree nursery in 600 villages that they can prepare themselves for the incoming flooding disasters

We looking your support to give for TREE PLANTATION, TEN trees in 1 one US $ only and 10 US $ enough for 10 trees, we want to distribute tree in 600 families, will be needed 600 US $ funds only

A Young Girl Love Tree and care lot of it planted at her house

The tree are the natural environment protectors, stop heat and give cool breeze during summer hot days, the words shared by little Lashami’s Mother. She said since the awareness meeting conducted by AHD staff the women and children now love tree and care of it. During the visit there is one tree planted at house space by all the 23 village families.

We hope our efforts and your all support will enable us to provide tree in young girls and women during incoming moon soon season, please support our cause and help us out to reach some 2,500 families with next quarter only US $ 1 required for one tree plantation

Some 1000 Trees distributed in 100 farming families of Jati area

During the first quarter of 2015 some 1000 plants / seed lings of the Conocarpus Tree planted by 100 farmers near Jati to increase the environment protection and soil fertility. The farmers of Jati area facing water shortage and soil infertility needs tree plantation campaigns a head.

AHD plans to distribute more trees in farmer families residing at tail end and facing soil infertility problems.

More trees plantation will save the land fertility and will green Pakistan, let us join our hands and support our efforts to GREEN PAKIDTAN
