Hope in Transition

By Sharon Karanja | HR and Admin Manager

Smiles!
Smiles!

Schools have opened and faces are beaming with joy as pupils return to a term full of activity. Janet, who joined The Fountain of Hope Primary School in January 2026.

The Transition Programme Coordinator, whose main task is to help children fully transition into the education system—even if they have been away from school or are not meeting the expected level for their age and grade—shared Janet's journey.

“Janet joined while uncertain and not very confident in herself or her capabilities, but she was able to walk with her fellow student buddy, myself, and a mentor teacher. Now, she can take on responsibilities in the classroom, such as helping to guide others and confidently responding to questions in English class. This has greatly contributed to academic improvement and she will soon transition fully into her class.”

Children like Janet have a bright future, but their progress can sometimes be slowed down by challenges, which deny them the opportunity that Janet has received. Janet will soon graduate from the transition class. The education team, pupils, parents, teachers, and student buddies have poured their hearts into this moment , and so have you.

Thank you for giving Janet her second chance.
