Project Update

Dear Partner,

Thank you for your continued support of our work. We cherish your support and are eternally grateful for helping us provide the needed skills and tools to our program participants.

We know the times are hard and there are other charitable organizations that do compassionate work like we do. We want to thank you for having confidence and trusting us to partner with us. In addition to the success stories we shared in our May report, we were able to accomplish the following with your support:

16 individuals successfully completed two classes in June and July 2023

- 12 from Introduction to Computers/Microsoft Office class.

- Four from the Python Essential class

We currently have nine individuals taking our web design class which ends December 21, 2023.
On December 22, 2023, we will be holding a virtual graduation ceremony for over 50 graduates of our skills development program.

As we wrap up for 2023, we have a workshop on workforce development on Monday, November 27, 2023. This is our first workforce development workshop which is intended to give our program graduates and the population we serve skills and tools for navigating complex jobs, internships, and volunteer sites. We have experts who will share their knowledge in the above areas. The ultimate goal is to assist our graduates in their job search and accessing career opportunities that are available to them. This is our pilot program in workforce development, and we hope to continue to bring this to our community every other month or quarterly.

Furthermore, we have one-on-one ongoing resume writing assistance made available to anyone among the population that we serve. This is why we need your continued support so we can provide this and other services at no cost to this underprivileged individual.

It is therefore our hope that we can continue to bring these skills and give tools for socioeconomic empowerment to our community. We are still appealing for your support in the following ways:

Funding for computers for those who do not have one.
Funding for our internship programs where we give participants $200 for the entire duration of the internship (30 days) as an incentive to complete the program. This program is intended to give data entry, computer, and Python essential graduates an opportunity to gain some hands-on experience which helps support the skills they receive from class instructions.
We would like to introduce a data processing class in the next coming year.
Funding will increase the range of support we can offer and the number of beneficiaries of our programs.

Your support is important, it means a lot to us and is valuable in making the world a better place for these less privileged individuals.

Skills Development Project

Dear Partner,

Thank you for your continued support of our work. Your continued partnership and support are the reasons we are able to sustain our programs and change lives one at a time.

We are always grateful for your confidence and trust in us because you invest your treasure in our work. Since the last report, which was in January of 2023, we have provided the following services to the populations we serve.

Successfully given soft skills to three refugees who graduated from our business coaching class in January of 2023, and four survivors of human trafficking who graduated from our data entry class in May 2023

Two survivors, two immigrants, and eight refugees/asylees will graduate from our computer/Microsoft class in June 2023.
Four survivors/refugees are currently taking our python essential class which ends in July 2023.

We provided about 50 high school students and their teachers with skills and tools for identifying and preventing human trafficking in March 2023.
Five graduates of our data entry class will begin a paid internship program in mid-June with our business partner.

This year, we plan to continue to bring these skills and give tools for socioeconomic empowerment to our community. Please continue to support us in these areas:

We continue to need funding for providing access to computer systems for our program participants.
We also need funding for our internship program as this program pays participants $200 each as an incentive and also to defray transportation costs for them. This one-month program is not only a continuation of skills improvement for them, but it also gives them firsthand experiences and builds their resume.
We want to add more courses that will expand their skill set and improve their employability, but funding is depriving us of launching courses such as Data Processing and Virtual Administrative Assistance. Funding for these programs will enable us to pay our instructors and program coordinators.
Adequate funding in these areas will make our work more impactful and effective. Your support is especially important and means a lot to us.

Dear Supporter,

Thank you for your continued support towards Restoration Project Resource work. Your continued partnership and support mean a lot to do, and we do not take it lightly.

Without your support, the success we achieved in 2022 would not have been possible. All that we accomplished is attributed to your willingness to give, thank you. Through your support we were able to achieve the following successes:

We had a successful graduation ceremony in December and we recognized graduates.
Twenty-six individuals graduated from our skills development program.
One person was connected with our business partners for an internship.
We have Nine classes, five courses, scheduled for 2023.
Our first course for this year is business coaching which comes on February 3^rd.

This year, we plan to continue to bring these skills and give tools for socioeconomic empowerment to our community. Please continue to support us in these areas:

Funding support for interpreters. We have turned away a few potential beneficiaries because of language barriers.
Funding or donation of computer systems. Few of our participants went through the excruciating pain of using their cell phones as computers because they were eager to take the courses, we offer but did not meet the hardware requirements.
Funding for our internship programs. As part of the curriculum for our Data Entry class, graduates are encouraged to participate in the paid internship program. But their paid employment does not permit them to do this. And because we do not want to deprive them of that income since we cannot augment the income, they have been turning down internship opportunities. These internships give them more skills and tools for better-paying jobs.

Funds received enable us to pay our instructors who teach these courses that we bring our program participants. Your support is very important. Please feel free to email me if you have any questions or suggestions you want to share with us!
