The 2012 youth baseball season in Japan has begun. Thanks so much for your role in making that a reality! Included are photos from Little League Opening Day 2012 in Japan.
We have received such a great response that has helped bring the joy of baseball to many Japanese children. We are now looking ahead and will be meeting with Major League Baseball Player's Association and our contacts at Little League International to determine further needs for Japan's baseball programs.
In the meantime, the support that has been generated from this project has had a ripple effect; other communities in need have been assisted thanks to the donations we have continued to receive. For example, the youth baseball program in Henryville, Indiana approached Pitch In For Baseball after a severe tornado devastated the town in March 2012. Because of our generous donors, we were able to provide Henryville children with baseball equipment to make Opening Day possible.
Watch our video capturing the stories of the Henryville children and community members impacted by Pitch In For Baseball.
