By Lucas Fwamba | Programs manager
Eliza is one of beneficiary of Juhudi children under the project, rescuing girls from early marriages. She has just completed her secondary education last year and expecting to join college this September to study Arts and music. She is raised by a single mother, and she is the first born child followed by other 4 siblings. We expect to support her to continue with her education journey successfully. Being much focused girl and determine to work hard and pursue her dream. She dreams to have her own music theatre in future and train other girls and also help her family. “I want to become a professional in arts and music and come up with a company that nurtures this youths who have talent in singing, dancing, performing and acting. I thank Juhudi for supporting me towards my dream,’’ said by her. She is also artist. She has recorded a first song while she was in secondary school, and she expects to record more songs soon.
As organization we look forward in helping such girls to empower their potential so that they can be important people in the society. Most of these girls when they finish school they get married immediately without thinking about their future what it holds. As Juhudi we say no early marriages until the right time comes. We are planning to have program with them after they have completed secondary education. We want to make them to be focused as Eliza. They should understand that getting married early is not the solution of running away from problems. We need inspire and empower them to become responsible mothers of tomorrow.
All these will be achieved through your continue support that we always get from you people. It has really help us to rescue a lot of girls who had messed up with their life. As Juhudi we say thank you so much for your great support. May God bless you so much.

By Lucas Fwamba | Programs manager
On behalf of Juhudi Children in Crisis I wish to thank all individuals who donated to this project to help this girls continue with their education. The little coin you donated brought a smile to these girls. We humbled to share the progress of the two girls Ummy and Lydia who have made it to stay in school through your support.
Ummy is in form 4 waiting to sit for her Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education. At least now she is determined and focused to her studies and believe she will pass her final exams well and join University. We were able to visit her in the school and see how she is doing. She told us this, “Am happy for being in school fulltime for the two terms ,last year I was always absent in school which made me to drop in my academics but now I have recovered the lost time and am doing very well hoping to get a good grade which will enabled me to go university next year. I want to thank Juhudi Children for helping me a lot to pursue my education. It is my duty to work hard and come out successful.” This was a true indication that you people you have made great impact in live of this girl.
Lydia also to the hand, she is in form 3 doing very well in her studies. She got motivated from being supported by Juhudi children and started improving in her studies. Before she was doing very poor but now she is among the top girls doing well in her class. She was even given responsibilities to be the class secretary of her class. She says that, “ My hope had lost completely to continue with my education. I was thinking to run away from home and go to the city to look for a job but after Juhudi founded me I had to change my mind and focus to my education. I saw this as the beginning of my new life. Am now happy in school doing very well. I have become a leader to my class which has helped me to build confidence and self-esteem. Thank you so much Juhudi children for making my dream alive.”
As organization we have witnessed this and we remain vigilant to see this girls complete their education well. Your continued support you always give to us will help them to complete their education. Thank you so much.

Support Destiny to finish her education
The mission of Juhudi children is to see these vulnerable children and girls pursue their education and achieve their desired goals. Having rescued a few of the girls which were at risk of dropping of the school due to poverty and negligence by their parents. We have seen there is more need since a lot of girls are out of school now and they need our support. We need to take them back to school and pay their school fees, exam fee, food and other many necessities. I want to thank our able donors who have come in handy to support this girls and children. We really appreciate for your anonymous contributions towards our projects.
I therefore, wish to share a story of this girl called Destiny. She is 17 years old from a poor background family where her parents cannot afford to pay for her school fees. It was just this year when we were doing our survey in the schools where we have our beneficiaries. This where the school principal narrated to us this girl. We found that the girl is very intelligent and determine on her studies as per the performance in school and has a very huge fee balance which her parents can’t afford to pay for her to complete her secondary education. We followed up and meet her parents at their home. We found that the poverty level of the family was very high. They had no any source of income to sustain the family. Her parents’ works as laborers in the farms of the rich people.
After long discussion with the girl and her parents we agreed to support the girl fully to pursue her education. It was like a surprise to the parents and the girl. The girl didn’t hide to expressed her joy; “Am very happy for this golden support I have received from Juhudi children, who have never dreamt that one day I will be supported to finish my education. Am now determined to work extra hard to achieve my goals and rescue my parents from poverty. May almighty God bless Juhudi children and give them funds so that they can support other girls like who are suffering out there.”
We look forward to share with you on the progress of Destiny all through her education journey. As Juhudi we believe in her and hope that she will come out as successful girl who will help other girls in the community forever.
