Kwamboka secures her place in form one 2018
It was a great joy when the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) were released by the Ministry of education. Kwamboka was one of the candidates expecting her results. After the results was out Kwamboka emerged to be the best student in her school, scoring 380 marks out of 500. She didn’t believe this until when the results were hanged in their school. She didn’t hide her joy as she expressed herself, “I can’t believe this, oh my God. I was not expecting to be the best student. I know am an intelligent student but not a top student. I want to thank my mum, teachers and Juhudi children for supporting me through this journey of my career. May almighty God continue to give you more to fill your pockets.”
Kwamboka is one of our beneficiaries in the project. After she had dropped out of school we took her back to school. She has now done her class 8 exam and passed very well expecting to join one of good national schools in the country. We us Juhudi we were very happy for her and we look forward to continue supporting her education up to the higher level. The girl is raised by a single mother who was affected by the post election violence 2007. The girl is very bright student and focused on changing the lives of her family and herself.
As an organization we will be hand in hand by ensuring the girl has pursued her education well. We therefore urge our able donors and well wishers to continue supporting us so that we reach more girls who are bright but lacks support. Most of the girls out there are at risks of dropping out of school. Let us join hands so that we pull same direction.

Nurturing talents and empowering girls
By Lucas Fwamba | Programs manager
Eliza is one of beneficiary of Juhudi children under the project, rescuing girls from early marriages. She has just completed her secondary education last year and expecting to join college this September to study Arts and music. She is raised by a single mother, and she is the first born child followed by other 4 siblings. We expect to support her to continue with her education journey successfully. Being much focused girl and determine to work hard and pursue her dream. She dreams to have her own music theatre in future and train other girls and also help her family. “I want to become a professional in arts and music and come up with a company that nurtures this youths who have talent in singing, dancing, performing and acting. I thank Juhudi for supporting me towards my dream,’’ said by her. She is also artist. She has recorded a first song while she was in secondary school, and she expects to record more songs soon.
As organization we look forward in helping such girls to empower their potential so that they can be important people in the society. Most of these girls when they finish school they get married immediately without thinking about their future what it holds. As Juhudi we say no early marriages until the right time comes. We are planning to have program with them after they have completed secondary education. We want to make them to be focused as Eliza. They should understand that getting married early is not the solution of running away from problems. We need inspire and empower them to become responsible mothers of tomorrow.
All these will be achieved through your continue support that we always get from you people. It has really help us to rescue a lot of girls who had messed up with their life. As Juhudi we say thank you so much for your great support. May God bless you so much.

UMMY AND LYDIA SHARES THEIR PROGRESS
By Lucas Fwamba | Programs manager
On behalf of Juhudi Children in Crisis I wish to thank all individuals who donated to this project to help this girls continue with their education. The little coin you donated brought a smile to these girls. We humbled to share the progress of the two girls Ummy and Lydia who have made it to stay in school through your support.
Ummy is in form 4 waiting to sit for her Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education. At least now she is determined and focused to her studies and believe she will pass her final exams well and join University. We were able to visit her in the school and see how she is doing. She told us this, “Am happy for being in school fulltime for the two terms ,last year I was always absent in school which made me to drop in my academics but now I have recovered the lost time and am doing very well hoping to get a good grade which will enabled me to go university next year. I want to thank Juhudi Children for helping me a lot to pursue my education. It is my duty to work hard and come out successful.” This was a true indication that you people you have made great impact in live of this girl.
Lydia also to the hand, she is in form 3 doing very well in her studies. She got motivated from being supported by Juhudi children and started improving in her studies. Before she was doing very poor but now she is among the top girls doing well in her class. She was even given responsibilities to be the class secretary of her class. She says that, “ My hope had lost completely to continue with my education. I was thinking to run away from home and go to the city to look for a job but after Juhudi founded me I had to change my mind and focus to my education. I saw this as the beginning of my new life. Am now happy in school doing very well. I have become a leader to my class which has helped me to build confidence and self-esteem. Thank you so much Juhudi children for making my dream alive.”
As organization we have witnessed this and we remain vigilant to see this girls complete their education well. Your continued support you always give to us will help them to complete their education. Thank you so much.
