This progress report will highlight the activities done for the months of September, October and November. The women in Mihango completed their first round and sold 670 chicks. They have already started round two now targeting the same number of chickens. The organisation continues to provide both technical and financial support to ensure the success of the project.
We were able to provide financial support to a group of 16 women in Mwihoko-Githurai. They are engaging in different types of businesses. These women have children with disabilities, the businesses ensure that they are able to provide physiotherapy services for the children and the families too. Their long-term objective is ti build their own physiotherapy centre to help their children and the community at large.
We visited Njiwa ya Amani, a group of women in Kayole who specialise in making hand crafts materials. they make napkins, carpets and other beadwork. The group comprises of women from Rwanda, Congo (DRC) and Burundi. They requested support in purchasing raw materials to make their products. Through the TUSA shop, the organisation assured them that it would purchase their quality products and provide a market for them.
Challenges.
Due to limited funds, we are not able to fund the above initiatives fully. We urge you to continue this journey with others because, through the above initiative, we will be able to provide long-term sustainable solutions to these families.
Conclusion.
The progress made in the last three months highlights the resilience and determination of the women we support. While challenges persist, the impact of these initiatives is evident, and with your continued support, we will achieve even greater milestones.
