Summary

Every child deserves a fair chance at a bright future, but millions are left behind simply because of where they were born. At Teach For Nigeria, we are working to change that, and we need your help! And here's the best part, when you give $50 or more, GlobalGiving will match your donation, doubling your impact! That means more children in classrooms, more dreams realized, and a future rewritten because of you. Give today and help us reach our matching goal, your generosity goes twice as far!

Challenge

Millions of Nigerian children living in underserved communities lack access to quality education, trained teachers, and essential resources. Currently, they face a cycle of poverty, limited opportunities, and an uncertain future. Many schools lack basic infrastructure, digital access, and STEM learning, leaving students unprepared for a rapidly evolving world and futures. Without urgent action, generations will continue to suffer from educational inequity and systemic disadvantage.

Solution

This project recruits, trains, and supports Fellows to teach in underserved schools, improving student learning outcomes. Fellows receive specialized training in digital tools, STEM education, and innovative teaching methods to engage students effectively. We also provide essential learning materials, enhance school infrastructure, and empower local teachers with knowledge-sharing, ensuring sustainable improvements in the education system.

Long-Term Impact

By strengthening Nigeria's education system, this project empowers students to build brighter futures. With trained teachers and improved learning environments, children develop critical skills, reducing poverty and unemployment. Fellows become lifelong advocates for education reform, influencing policies and expanding impact nationwide. Over time, entire communities benefit from increased literacy, better job opportunities, and lasting economic growth.
