Summary

On behalf of the Africa Intercultural Development Support Trust, I thank the donors, volunteers and well-wishers who have support our efforts towards trabsforming people's lives through the Provide Coffee Seeds to 120 Farmers to End Poverty project which is ongoing and growing, and has shown a remarkable impact. It's making 6 months old today since the planting started.

Actvities

400 coffee seedlings were bought from private nurseries owners, each at U$0.69. Out of these, 350 seedlings grew up and 50 seedlings were distroyed by wild animals or much sunshine. (see photos).

Mixed farming: Introduced tomato growing intended to support or strategically help to create another income generating stream. (see photos). We're planning to engage 50 youths in growing coffee and tomatos to help provide local jobs, and encourage them to apply organic farming methods for quality and sustainable crop production, and better markets - locally, regional and internationally. Discouraged to use pesticides.

Achievements since last report

Project extention: The team made a stride towards project growth, as 1 acre of land was expanded, prepared for 450 coffee seeds for the season - March to May, 2025. Coffee seeds already purchased at US$0.69, and planting process underway. (see photo)

Partnerships

Under my leadership and efforts, the organization managed to establish a development collaboration with the Cenergy Solutions in the USA, having another office in Thailand; to equip our team with skills to produce organic fertilizers from local manure, like animal and food waste. (see photo)

Farm tools

The project plans to purchase a Mini Hand Farm Tractor or Agricultural machine, likely to cost US$1,500 to be used in the next season: October - December, 2025. (see photo)
