The children of Don Bosco is extremely happy and grateful since they all received a new pair of silk shirts and Mundu (traditional wear of Keralites) during this Onam ( Kerala’s most important festival), when every Keralites across the world buy new pair of dress which is termed as ‘Onakodi’. The Keralites during the Thiruvonam (Main festival day) will wear the new clothes, decorate their houses with garlands, form pattern with flower (Athapookkalam) and they altogether prepare Sadhya (Traditional food of Kerala) and thus celebrate the day of Thiruvonam.
This Onam 2021 has been a memorable day for the children at Don Bosco Nivas by the grace of the donors of GlobalGiving. The Funds which were given by the donors of GlobalGiving were mobilised for buying authentic wears for every children at Don Bosco so that they can wear those costumes and celebrate the beautiful day of Onam.
