ALMOST THERE: ALL EYES ON THE FINAL PRODUCT
We are at a point where all eyes have turned to the final product, a water bottling plant. A journey that begun with a four-phase project of drilling a borehole, installing a Solar Powered Pump, constructing an elevated Water Tower, and installing a Water Bottling Plant, as a final product, is now proudly called, “Oceanic Bubbles.” Indeed, it has been a milestone, the project, to Provide-Clean-Water-To-Over-1800-Nyamongeans, with the primary objective, to provide access to clean, safe drinking water, has indeed been achieved.
All efforts are now on ensuring that the key regulatory requirements based on international and regional standards, are in place. These includes, legal licensing requirements, facility construction and design, equipment and sanitation, operation hygiene and process controls, water quality and testing, personnel and quality control, and other safety compliance and measures.
We are very pleased with the progress made to date. In my last report we were at 90% in our activity measure, at the moment, we are at 95%, most regulations for the intended results are in place.
Our last report also outlined three direct outcomes, one of which is the sustainability of the college environment. Besides completing the water bottling plant, all eyes are on the sustainability of the campus environment. Specific focus has been given to the kindergarten school on-campus; preparing an outdoor playground, and installing the relevant equipment. Phase one has just begun with reclaiming and landscaping the designated site. This is in keeping with the objective to provide a friendly learning environment, more so for preschoolers, the idea is to make an intentional design that will mirror the structure of indoor classrooms to set a strong foundation for holistic learning and enable seamless transitions between outdoor and indoor activities.
We treasure our partnership with the GlobalGiving Community, and through great collaboration we foresee numerous magnificent activities on campus beyond our initial goal and project to Provide-Clean-Water-To-Over-1800-Nyamongeans.
We feel honored to work with you!
