Progress Report on Community Health Interventions.

By Jane Karanja | Project Coordinator.

The rains are still heavy and Kokwa Island community is still affected by the increase of water in Lake Baringo causing flooding of some homesteads .  It’s unfortunate since it has been very difficult to re-establish their submerged tree nursery but thank to the training on use of neem tree value addition.  This has really helped the community in preventing malaria.  For those who did not receive the bed nets are happy as they are practicing to use neem tree products to reduce spread of malaria.  They have been sharing these findings of neem with their neighbours and they are also willing to receive more trainings on these products.  We hope to support them once we have resources to ensure that they are not affected by everything including floods.

Thank you for choosing to support us.
