SPORTS AID AFRICA (SAA) – QUARTELY REPORT 2026

Dears Partners,

We sincerely appreciate your continued partnership and support. Your investment is enabling sports Aid Africa (SAA) to deliver consistent, impactful programs that are improving the lives of children and families in underserved communities across Kibera and beyond.

Education and Feeding Program

We are currently supporting 163 students at Mbagathi Road Primary School (MRPS) through a daily school feeding initiative. This program ensures that children receives a nutritious meals, improving attendance, concentration, and overall academic engagement. The program also supports 28 teachers and staff, strengthening the overall learning environment. Additionally, one student recently received a full academic scholarship, demonstrating the long-term opportunities created through your support.

Sports Development and Equipment

Our sports programs continue to expand, providing structured and safe environments for youth development. A recent donation of a basketball hoop and backboard with further enhance our basketball activities, creating additional opportunities for participation and talent development.

Leadership Development

Five SAA leaders completed a one-month leadership and mentorship training program in February 2026. This initiative strengthened their capacity to effectively guide programs, mentor participants, and support organizational growth. The next phase of training is scheduled for May.

Youth Engagement and Activities

Approximately 130 children (ages 6-17) actively participate in weekly sports and holiday programs. These sessions integrate skill development, teamwork, and life skills. Our U15 Girls and U17 Bous teams placed second in the David Owin Tournament (April 13-14, 2016), reflecting strong progress and performance.

Health and Life Skills (S.H.E. & H.E.)

Through our health initiatives, 246 Grade 9 students participated in sessions on hygiene, menstrual health, and life skills. Girls received sanitary supplies, and boys received essential items, supporting dignity, confidence, and consistent school participation.

The Way Forward

Key priorities include expanding academic tutoring programs, restructuring our soccer academy program, improving infrastructure, and strengthening program sustainability.

EQUIPPING, EMPOWERING, AND ENGAGING COMMUNITIES.

Dear Partners,

Sports Aid Africa (SAA) closes 2025 with deep gratitude to our donors, partners, and friends whose faithful generosity made this impact possible. Guided by our mission and the 3E framework – Equip, Empower, and Engage - we used sports, education, health, and spiritual formation to build resilient, purpose-driven communities.

EQUIP: Through Whole Life Coaching, football, and the newly launched basketball program trained boys and girls in discipline, teamwork, leadership, and character. Education and scholarship support kept vulnerable learners in school, while SHE and HE initiatives equipped youth with life skills, hygiene resources, and biblical mentorship.

EMPOWER: We strengthened dignity and wellbeing by reaching 400 youth through spiritual formation and health programs. Infrastructure improvements at Mbagathi Road Primary School (MRPS), including chalk-free classrooms and safer walkways, empowered learners and teachers with healthier, more effective learning environments.

ENGAGE: Sports activities, feeding interventions, and community partnerships fostered belonging, unity, and trust. Over 160 vulnerable children and school staff received feeding support, reinforcing our conviction that nourishment is foundational to growth, learning, and discipleship.

Key outcomes in 2025: include expanded football and basketball programs; 400 youth discipled through SHE and HE; 23 classrooms improved for health and safety; targeted scholarship assistance; and sustained community engagement.

Looking ahead, SAA will strengthen donor relationships, expand feeding sustainability, equip emerging leaders, and build operational capacity. We invite you to continue partnering with us as we steward resources with excellence and faith.

SPORTS AID AFRICA (SAA) MINISTRY REPORT

Dear Partners & Friends,

We extend our deepest gratitude for your unwavering prayers, generosity, and encouragement. Because of you, Sports Aid Africa (SAA) continues to transform lives in Kibera, Kakuma, and Dadaab refugee camp through sports, discipleship, education, feeding, and leadership development.

Ministry Impact

Sports & Coaching Development: Over 120 boys and girls participated in weekly holistic training across U7, U10, U13, U15, and U17 teams. Our basketball program has grown from 10 to 15 players, with two players excelling at an international camp in Nairobi.

Spiritual Formation: Coaches led devotions on obedience, servant leadership, resilience, and patience, reinforcing our 3E strategy: Engage youth in safe spaces, Equip them with life skills and discipleship, and Empower them as leaders of impact.

Education & Feeding: 144 students and 28 teachers at Mbagathi Road Primary School (MRPS) continue receiving daily lunch, improving concentration and morale. One beneficiary secured a scholarship and is thriving academically, physically, and spiritually.

Leadership Development: Our Director’s ongoing training at the International Sports Leadership School (ISLS, South Africa) equips leaders to serve globally, connecting SAA to international networks for greater reach and sustainability.

Personal Testimony

A parent shared: “Through SAA, my child found not only the joy of sports but also the hope of Christ and a renewed purpose for life.”

Multicultural & International Impact

SAA unites children, coaches, and families across diverse cultures, faiths, and backgrounds. Through international partnerships, we are shaping communities of faith and resilience.

Way Forward

Expand leadership training for SAA coaches in Nairobi, Kakuma, and Dadaab.
Strengthen scholarships and feeding programs.
Multiply faith-based sports clubs to foster discipleship movements.
Build new partnerships to extend our reach.

Pray for wisdom, provision, and perseverance for our coaches, and for children to grow in faith despite challenges.
