Save Yemeni Souls from COVID-19

While most people in the world have taken COVID-19 Vaccine doses, the majority of Yemeni people haven't even taken one dose. Support Yemeni Society Organization's Team with GlobalGiving support and your generous support still implementing the humanitarian project " Save Yemeni Souls from COVID-19" in Yemen https://goto.gg/46681 . This time SYS Team targeted the most vulnerable workers in Ibb city. 

 In response to the COVID-19 Pandemic in Yemen, SYS Organization has:

- Distributed hygiene kits to more than 1200 vulnerable people in Sana'a including marginalized people, displaced persons, poor families, traffic policemen, poor female teachers, scavengers, and sellers in the markets.

- Conducted health Awareness-Raising sessions about COIVD-19 and the preventive measures for restaurant workers and street cleaners.

- Targeted poor and displaced female teachers in Bani AlHareth and distributed hygiene kits for them. 

- Targeted the staff of the Education Office of Bani AlHareth District. 

- conducted a two-day training program for students on how to be safe from COVID-19.

- Distributed more than 50 hygiene kits for the neediest vulnerable schoolgirls

Support Yemeni Society Organization's Team has distributed 40 hygiene kits to the most vulnerable workers in Ibb city. Moreover, SYS Team has conducted an awareness-raising campaign for the workers. Besides, the team has distributed 1000 flyers about the protection measures from the COVID-19 pandemic.

Many Yemenis die every day due to COVID-19 Pandemic. It seems that no one cares! The situation is very dangerous indeed. We still targeting Education Sector, especially rural schoolgirls and their teachers. 

What We Did So Far

In response to the COVID-19 Pandemic in Yemen, SYS Organization has:

The third wave of the COVID-19 Pandemic is hitting Yemen severely. SYS Organization distributed 60 hygiene kits composed of hand sanitizers, soap, cleaning supplies, and the like.

The Fifth Stage Report

"In Yemen, from Jan. 3 to 4 March 2021, there have been 2,367 confirmed cases of COVID-19 with 644 deaths." WHO reported. This is a horrible number. Besides, the health services in Yemen are not sufficient and damaged due to the ongoing war. Support Yemeni Society Organization with the support of GlobalGiving and your support still implementing the humanitarian project " " Save Yemeni Souls from COVID-19" in Yemen https://goto.gg/46681 to the schoolgirls and their teachers in the rural areas of Sana'a, Yemen. 

What We did So Far

In the first stage, SYS Organization distributed hygiene kits to more than 1200 vulnerable people in Sana'a including marginalized people, displaced persons, poor families, traffic policemen, poor female teachers, scavengers, and sellers in the markets. Moreover, SYS Organization conducted health Awareness-Raising sessions about COIVD-19 and the preventive measures for restaurant workers and street cleaners. In the second stage, SYS Organization targeted poor and displaced female teachers in Bani AlHareth. In the third stage, we targeted the staff of the education office of Bani AlHareth District. In the fourth stage, SYS conducted a two-day training program for students on how to be safe from COVID-19.

In this stage, the fifth stage, SYS Organization team still targeting the EDUCATION sector. As rural schoolgirls are vulnerable, we distributed more than 50 hygiene kits that contain soap, masks, gloves, and hygiene tissues to 50 schoolgirls in Bani AlHareth District. Moreover, awareness-raising training was conducted for those girls. They were taught how to prevent themselves and others from the COVID-19 pandemic.

Six years of ongoing war has destroyed the basic health services in Yemen. Besides, the percentage of poverty in Yemen is very high. Therefore, the majority of Yemeni people have become vulnerable and need help.

What We Did So Far

This is the fourth stage of implementing this project. As students go back to schools, SYS Organization conducted a two-day training program for students on how to be safe from COVID-19. " We have learned many important things about Corona Virus." A student said.
