We did it again!
By Michael Hildenbrand | Project Leader
Last December ( 2024) a team of 11 people from the Pac US iPacific Northwest traveled to Uganda to once again give pregnant goats to Widows and orphans. This time most of the receipients were orphans. Most were under the care of a grandparent or other close family member. This time was gave 50 goats. As you may remember the recipient CANNOT eat the goat. They can only sell them or trade them. This gives them a stream of income. From this pregnant goat they could get as many as six babies in one year! This continues to be one of the most impactful projects we do in Uganda. Can't wait for our next trip.

We will do it again in December!
By Michael Hildenbrand | Project Leader
Last December a team of 10 traveled from the US to Uganda to help with a varity of projects, One of our favorite and most impactful is the giving of a pregnant goat to a widow, orphan, or handicapped person. We spent the day in the village and gave 60 goats away. The entire village celebrated this great event. Local government officials were present to join in the celebration. The village had prepared a special meal for our team and the whole village ate together. It was a special day. In just two months we will be in Uganda again this year with a team of 11, and we will visit a new village and once again give away pregnant goats. I estimate that over the years we have been working in Uganda we have given about 1000 goats. It changes lives.

Last December a team went to Uganda to work with students sponsored to go to school and also to dedicate a new school we had just completed. But the highlight of the trip was the small village we visited where we distributede 65 pregnant goats to widows, orphans or handicapped individuals. The whole village turned out and a grand time was had. There were speches and a shared meal. Then our team got to give the goats to each recipient. There were miles and miles of smiles. Then we had a team photo. We had a veterinarian with us so all of the goats received shots. Our team had an amazing time, as did the villagers. They agreement is that they cannot eat the goats, they can only sell them or trade them. This way they can accumulate a sizable herd in just a few years. We will do another goat give away in December 2024.
