Hey hi again!
Last october and november we started planting trees at schools, we started with a kindergarten in wich 30 kids from 3 to 5 years old learn how to plant and take care of trees. These kids were with their parents so, this was a exciting time for teachers, parents and children for knowing the steps of doing a great plantation event.
The event was planned by tue Principal of the school and her assistant. They visited Proforestal`s office in order to learn the logistics of the event. They took the assesment site of plantation events, in which some questions include, how big is the facility?, how many children and parent were going to participate? is there water? how is the soil? what time do these kids arrive to school? Do parent bring tools for the event?
There were 5 schools:
3 kindergartens, 1 elementary school and 1 middle school; 420 kids, 223 parents and 15 teachers and most important fact: 580 trees.
Teachers compromised to take care of the trees, watering every week and cleaning around the trees.
Now, we are excited about the new seaon that starts next January when more schools are ready to stat planting.
