We started planting trees in June after a short hiatus due to the Pandemic. This event served us as the first that we officially carried out with social distancing, in which 50 volunteers participated. All wore face masks and none were allowed to remove them even for evidence. The event helped us to realize the importance of living together in community, how it is necessary to have group activities, in our case to plant trees, but imagine the people who cannot even have access to go out and get fresh air. We want a better world by planting trees but it is also important how we meet the people we live with. For this event we had to take COVID courses, where it began, how it is transmitted, what precautions we should take, and other health recommendations issued by the government. We learned to carry out reforestation with a pandemic, and we realized that it is great to enjoy life, plant trees, meet new people, and do something, even if it is little for nature. Fortunately, the day of the event there was not much sun, so it was practically the ideal day to do the planting. There were almost 200 plants, oaks, yuccas, jacarandas, which will help us clean the air of pollutants, capture carbon, and establish an area full of vegetation. Thank you to all who participated in this first Pandemic reforestation.
