This  coupled  with several other symptom make the life of Parkinson patients  and their care giver difficult.

The aim of Parkinson patients support organization – Ethiopia is to help Parkinson patients and their care givers to live quality life. To this end PPSO-E using the fund obtained  from GlobalGiving start constructing a raised toilet with hand wash facilities  for 50 Parkinson patients

The most  embarrassing symptom which many people with Parkinson's suffer is a bad odor due  to  urine  and others  most  PD patents  of  PPSO-E used ground hole for urinate and defect. .Using this type toilet pre suppose sitting on legs during urinate and defect.. Sitting on leg is extremely painful, because of  its pain and discomfort,   they stop before they  finish  in some instance they fall and spoiled their body and clothes .As the PD Patient return home with  bad odder so  the care giver has to wash and change the patient with  other cloth.

.This happens if the patient have  a  good care giver. For those who have no care giver or if the care giver is not good enough so take these , the patient  has to stay with bad ode. In return the patient could be embarrassed and  stop  seen by others.

A daughter of Ato kibret. Ato Kibret is a Parkinson patient Said “ I have a clean and odor less father.

Several people had problems with constipation. For those who had a problem of constipation the problem was  even  worse.

Looking the problem PPSO-E construct  a modern  raised toilet with hand washing  facility. This project  was well appreciated by  patients and care givers .  while sitting comfortable to urinate and defect, the modern  toilet helps

  • Reduce the workload of care giver
  • Got time to do other activity
  • Improve the relation between patients and care giver
