Since November, 2015 thirty-four donors have contributed over $1,795 and purchased over 1,200 meals for homeless and low-income women and families in Washington, DC. Thank you for your support.
People experience homelessness for all sorts of reasons; lack of affordable housing, medical emergencies, job loss, mental health concerns or the death of a loved one. Corrine came to N Street Village after losing her husband. More than meals, she needed love and support to grieve.
“Everyone at N Street Village speaks the same language- love. The programs in Bethany Day Center and the Wellness Center are helping me cope with the death of my husband and find myself again. I hope one day to repay all the love I’m receiving from the Village community.”
Corrine’s story illustrates the power of community. Many people like Corrine come to N Street Village first for meals but stay for the safe, comfortable and supportive home.
