By Cora Sayre | Project Leader
Dear Friends,
Warm greetings and thank you very much for supporting our initiative to provide help for the education of girls affected by the earthquake in Nepal. Our project manager, Jed Christian Sayre is already in Nepal to implement the distribution of much-needed school supplies as we correctly surmise that most school supplies of heavily affected students were lost during the earthquake. We concentrated our effort for this phase in Thimi Village, Bhaktapur and including two schools, Bode School and Creative Learners School. Besides focusing on girls we also included boys in the effort as suggested by the school heads there. We are ably assisted by the Visionary Youth Initiative Foundation in Nepal who is actively promoting the welfare of the youth in Bhaktapur and nearby areas.
We were able to distribute 750 school kits comprising notebooks, pens, pad paper and eco-bags to 750 students.
Again, thank you very much and until next report.
Very sincerely yours,
Cora
