The Mobile Counseling Unit continues to provide steady, practical support for children and families in Lebanon. Across five partner sites, counselors completed 410 sessions for 91 beneficiaries and reported significant improvement for 39 individuals.
In a context where trauma is widespread and mental health is still stigmatized, many children and families are receiving the care they need.
Field highlights include: a girl who worked through childhood trauma and successfully completed her sessions;
A boy who was safely guided to name feelings of neglect and betrayal, ensuring the process did not lead to re-traumatization;
And another who, in his final session, consolidated coping skills and self-esteem strategies and was encouraged to apply them on his own.
We’re grateful for a program that keeps mental-health care accessible to those who need it most.
