Holiday Meals for Military Families

First, we would like to thank you all for your generous donations. The help you have provided will continue to be used this holiday season to feed some very hungry heroes that deserve a delicious holiday meal.  We are excited to let you know that 100% of the funds we received has helped active duty service members and veterans from past and present wars that need a hot meal.

These brave men and women and their families do not have an easy time adjusting back to life in the states. We are seeing a number of issues like PTSD, depression, substance abuse, lack of affordable housing and homelessness, unemployment and many other issues that are causing even more stress in the lives of these soldiers and their families.  Being able to put food on a family's table is a simple and cost-effective program that has touched  the hearts of our military heroes.

This past Mother’s Day Mercy for Me recognized the following women as our 2012 Mercy for Me Military Mom Heroes:

Mercy for Me and our supporters are so grateful to all the men and women that volunteered to join the armed services and commit to defending our freedoms home and abroad. Every person in the military goes through much sacrifice on our behalf and we cannot say thank you enough. More and more, many of our military heroes are mothers and on this past Mother’s Day we recognized all of them. Our Military Mom Heroes received Mother’s Day meals thanks to your generous support.

Coming up -- Mercy for Me will be focusing on Labor Day celebrations and Thanksgiving celebrations.  If you know a military family in need of meals please tell us and please continue to spread the word that we have holiday meals available for them.
