Gearing up for Giving Tuesday

Hello Community Members,
Joy of Community Foundation is gearing up for Giving Tuesday this year!
On GivingTuesday— Dec. 2 through noon EST on Dec. 3 —your donation can go even further. Thanks to GlobalGiving's $500,000 matching funds, every gift you make to Joy of Community Foundation will be boosted. That means your support helps us unlock additional funds to create an even bigger impact.
We are always grateful to participate in such a wonderful day with members of the JOCF and GlobalGiving community. Please keep an eye out on the JOCF GlobalGiving Page for updated projects you can support. Now more than ever, our shared commitment to bring joy and opportunity to children and families through access to education, healthcare, and community infrastructure is essential.

Achieving our Goals and Next Steps

Dear JOCF Community,
We are so grateful to say that we are only $100 away from meeting our goal for the 2025 Reusable Menstrual Kits program. With your generous contributions, we have been able to provide essential mentstrual hygiene products to the young women and girls attending Joy of Community Foundation partner schools.
As we inch closer to meeting our goal, we would like to encourage you to make a final contribution towards this project. Each small amount helps us meet the needs of the students working diligently to build a brighter future in Engari.
Your contributions cannot be understated. UNICEF statistics have indicated that 1 in 4 girls in Uganda regularly miss school during their period due to a lack of appropriate hygiene products and 65% of rural girls are forced to use items that expose them to potential infections.
Providing appropriate hygiene products ensures that young women are able to attend school comfortably and confidently. It provides security and consistency, so that young women can focus on their goals and dreams. Each child deserves that level of care and consideration and each kit we distribute shows to these young women that their health, happiness, and education matter. Each contribution made is a gesture of kindness extended across the world.

2026 School Year

Dear JOCF community members,
Although we settle into 2025, JOCF is always thinking ahead to meet the needs of our Engari community. We hope that you will support us in reigniting our fundraising for resuable mentarual kits for our students in the upcoming 2026 school year.
Menstrual kits provide all the essential to ensure students in our partner schools can comfortably focus on their education and joy. We never want any of our students to be isolated by lack of access to adequate mentarual hygiene products.
With your contributions, JOCF is able to purchase reusable menstrual hygiene kits through AfriPads. These environmentally friendly products ensure that our students feel confident in caring for themselves throughout the school year.
We hope you will chose to continue supporting students in Engari and thank you for being part of the JOCF community.
