Help distribute AFRIpads reusable menstrual kits to local women and girls in Kazo District, Uganda. Menstrual hygiene is essential for women and girls' reproductive health, as well as their economic and educational equality. Joy of Community Foundation is a 501(c)(3) working to incorporate menstrual kits as part of its healthcare center and school partnerships.
Many girls and women in Kazo District, Uganda struggle to obtain necessary menstrual hygiene products due to poverty and inaccessibility. In order to assist in this need, Joy of Community Foundation is seeking your support in funding reusable menstrual hygiene kits for local women and girls participating in our programming. These menstrual kits will help local women and girls overcome barriers to participating in education and economic activity.
JOCF works directly with local healthcare and educational leaders to connect people in need with international donors and development programming. In order to address the need for more accessible menstrual hygiene products, we are working to provide women and girls with access to AFRIpads reusable menstrual hygiene kits through our health center and partner schools. Additionally, JOCF team members will provide health education sessions in partnership with AFRIpads.
This project will assist over 500 local women and girls with gaining access to reusable menstrual hygiene kits. By removing economic barriers to menstrual hygiene, the women and girls of Kazo District, Uganda will have more equal opportunity to engage in school and work. While providing reproductive healthcare and education, this project also serves the long-term economic development of the region as more women and girls are able to engage in education and economic life.
