Dear Donor,
Thank you for your support for the Moringa Tree Project. With the money raised, thousands of trees have been planted and many people affected through economic devleopment and abaitment of malnutrition for the very young. This "miracle" tree has a multitude of uses including 90 different nutrients and twice the protein as soybean meal.
Our new project will be in Migori Kenya, one of the poorest regions in the country. The climate in this region is ideal and the need is palpable. With your help, we have been albe to multiply your donations through distribution of seed and knowledge about cultivation and uses of moringa.
Thanks again for you ongoing support.
Best wishes,
Shana
Dear Supporter,
We are so pleased to report that the tree project is progressing and we have learned a lot since we began. Because of you, trees have been planted far and wide. True, some were eaten by animals, and others didn't survive for one reason or another but as a whole, thousands of trees have been planted because of you.
People are harvesting leaves, drying them and adding them to the food of children in feeding programs. The children are getting a boost of protein and nutrients not found in their daily porrage. Many children have learned about why trees are important and the benefit of moringa.
We are hoping to start the oil press program for womens' groups as we have maturing trees.
We continue to thank you for providing us with the opportunity to plant more trees and to support more programs.
Thank you,
Shana Greene

Dear Donor,
Thank you so very much for helping to plant the wonderful Moringa Tree. The tree nurseries are thriving after a few setbacks. Its never easy when irrigation is not consistant with tender saplings and also the occaisional animals who grazes on the new tips of the trees.
The good news is that we will be eready to press the first oil in about three months.
The teachers at the schools are teaching the children sustainable farming techniques. They are developing moringa orchards with a mix of other edible fruit trees and the gardens are expanding.
We are hoping to expand the program to support more children.
Thanks again for your support.

Dear Donor,
Thank you for your support of moringa trees planted in areas of malnutrition. One very special location in Kenya has been the most successful. In Kunya Village, Mama na Dada has had a wonderful project that has been supporting their preschool and orphan program. Tragedy struck as the Mama na Dada Centre burned to the grown last month. The children are still coming to the spot where their school was burned and all that is left of their program are the trees growing and standing tall.
Thank you so much for providing this ray of hope.
Best wishes,
Shana Greene

Thank you to all of you who have donated in the past and particularly to those who have a monthly subscription. The monthly funds keep the youth group planting trees and more money goes into their scholarship fund for the youth to attend school.
Today we are doing a training for a women's group to start their own orchard. Once the trees are mature in less than a year and a half, we will fund an oil press so they can make high quality oil for use and to sell.
Planting trees, providing scholarship funds and granting women's groups with an income producing project is a win win win.
Thank you!
