In a world where a girl’s right to education is still a distant dream for many, your support has made that dream come true for 125 girls.
Thanks to your generosity through GlobalGiving, over the past three months, BREADS has been privileged to support 125 underprivileged girls, ensuring they continue their education and grow in safe, nurturing environments. These girls have been protected from challenges such as household responsibilities, early marriage, child labour, and school dropouts—thanks to your unwavering support through GlobalGiving.
From January to March 2025, we received USD 895 via the GlobalGiving platform. This contribution has been fully utilized to uplift the educational journey of these 125 girls. Your support helped cover school fees, purchase uniforms and learning materials, provide nutritious meals, and meet essential healthcare needs. As a result, all of them are successfully progressing in their academic year and have shown remarkable improvement in their examinations and personal development.
With the school year now concluded and summer holidays underway, we are organising summer camps to help them with soft skill development, leadership training, and experiential learning through play, helping the girls gain confidence and life skills in a fun and engaging way.
These young girls, many of whom come from vulnerable backgrounds, such as single-parent homes or communities prone to child labour and abuse, have been empowered through access to quality education and care. With your help, they are growing into confident, hopeful individuals with the ability to shape their own futures.
Beyond academics, we’ve also invested in their holistic development. Life skill sessions, confidence-building activities, and teamwork programs have been conducted regularly. Girls residing in our care homes benefited from bridge education, helping them reintegrate into formal schooling.
Our dedicated Don Bosco and BREADS teams maintain close engagement with each child, ensuring consistent school attendance and academic performance. Evening tuition centres run by BREADS in the children’s villages have been instrumental in reinforcing classroom learning. These spaces also serve as safe and encouraging environments where the girls can complete homework and receive mentorship.
On behalf of all the children, BREADS, and our Don Bosco partners, we extend our heartfelt thanks to GlobalGiving and all our donors. Your continued support has made a lasting impact, helping 125 girls move one step closer to achieving their dreams. We are inspired by your generosity and look forward to your ongoing partnership as we reach out to even more children in need of education and care.
Thank you for supporting these girls in achieving their dreams!
