A New Year, New Hope for 100 Girls

By Jibin G Jose | Asst Project Manager

As the New Year begins with hope and new resolutions, 100 underprivileged girl children continue their education with confidence and determination —made possible by your continued support through GlobalGiving.

Between September 2025 and January 2026, we received USD 350 from GlobalGiving, which has enabled us to sustain and strengthen educational support for these young girls. Your contribution continues to play a vital role in ensuring stability, encouragement, and opportunity during this crucial phase of their academic journey.

The girls are now attending school regularly and are actively engaged in their studies. Many of them have recently appeared for their midterm examinations. Coming from marginalized communities, single-parent households, and backgrounds vulnerable to child labour and early marriage, these girls are steadily moving forward on paths of learning and self-belief. Support from GlobalGiving has helped cover essential educational needs such as school fees, uniforms, school bags, notebooks, and learning materials. In addition, the girls continue to receive daily nutritious meals and essential healthcare support, ensuring they remain healthy, focused, and energized for learning.

Girls residing in our care homes continue to benefit from bridge education programs, which help them reintegrate into mainstream schooling after interruptions in their education. Through consistent academic guidance, life skills training, and emotional support, these girls are catching up with their peers and thriving with renewed confidence. The dedicated teams at BREADS and Don Bosco Centres at the grassroots level have remained closely involved in each child’s progress, maintaining regular communication with families, teachers, and the girls themselves.

As the New Year unfolds, all 100 girls are progressing steadily, demonstrating resilience, discipline, and hope for a brighter future. On behalf of the entire team at BREADS and our Don Bosco partners, we extend our heartfelt thanks and New Year wishes to you. Thank you for standing by these girls, believing in their potential, and investing in their futures.

Thank you for helping our girls begin the New Year with hope, confidence, and dreams within reach.
