The staff at Cedar Village strives to ensure the best quality of life for each resident. Each day they let the residents know that it is ok to feel good about themselves and that it is never too late to dream. In fact, Cedar Village strives to make wishes come true every day through the Chai Hope Fund. Many residents do not have local family to help fulfill their wishes, nor do they have disposable income to maintain and enrich their quality of life. Often, the smallest gesture is appreciated by someone who is at the end of his/her life. This fund helps to enrich our residents’ quality of life as well as fulfill dreams, hopes, and wishes to help our residents feel special and that someone cares about their well being.
Through this special fund, our staff is able to give special experiences, outings, and much needed personal items. One of our Hospice team members reflected on this experience saying she is “…very grateful for the Chai Hopes Fund, as it has allowed our team the opportunity to enhance the lives of our patients. Granting wishes allows our patients to live out the rest of days with dignity and comfort."
