A resident's day was made
By Sally Korkin | Executive Director, Cedar Village Foundation
We have a "store" day on a regular basis. Every resident is given Cedar Village dollars that can be used to purchase small personal items ranging from perfume, after shave, jewelry ect. The ability to take their time and shop brings great joy to our residents.
Sometimes residents come to shop because they are in need of an item that they can't afford to buy elsewhere. Just recently, one of our male residents needed a new electric razor. Although this is not a shop item, Cedar Village staff was able to fulfill his request through the Making Dreams Come True Fund.
Thank you for supporting our residents.

Small Things Make a Big Difference

No matter what the age, everyone has dreams -- some big, some small. For most of the residents at Cedar Village, it is the small things in life that make the biggest difference.
Recently, we had a Russian resident who wanted a new guitar. Another resident requested to have his violin repaired. When our music therapist, Jude Jones made us aware of these needs, we provided the financial means to complete the repairs through our "Making Dreams Come True" Fund. Both musicians were grateful for the helping hand.
Your support makes a difference. Thank you for helping us to grant wishes for our residents.

Granting Wishes One at a Time!

Edie & Jude
Enriching the lives of residents at Cedar Village Retirement Community is not only something we strive to accomplish, but to excel in “making dreams come true!”
This month resident, Edie wanted to have her snare drum head replaced. She contacted our music therapy staff member and simply asked for a quote. As I was sitting in her office working on something unrelated to this conversation, I began to think about how to fund her request. Once Jude ended the phone call, I mentioned to Jude a way to fund this wish through our “Making Dreams Come True Fund.” The very next day, we presented Edie with her newly repaired drum and started a jam session!
It’s because of the generosity of donors like you that Cedar Village is able to provide these extra added acts of kindness to our residents. It is our goal to fulfill the lives of our residents while granting wishes. How would you like to be a part of this wonderful program?
