Cedar Village strives to make wishes come true every day. Last month 2 of our Hospice patients had a very simple request, they wanted to see the new version of “The Jungle Book” in the movie theater. Through the Cedar Village Chai Hopes Fund, which helps create wishes for our residents, the Hospice team was able to arrange one last trip to the movies for these two patients. Thanks to our Hospice team, who works tirelessly ensuring the best quality end of life care, we can give this resident a special experience to enjoy time with his friends and loved ones. One of our Hospice team members reflected on this experience saying she is “…very grateful for the Chai Hopes Fund, as it has allowed our team the opportunity to enhance the lives of our patients. People often see Hospice as the last stop on life’s long and sometimes bumpy road, but I see Hospice as an opportunity to allow a patient to LIVE. [Granting wishing like] taking patients to see a movie, allows our patients to live out the rest of days with dignity and comfort."
