A Day At The Mall With Wish Kid Eric

Eric’s wish for a shopping spree was so much more than just one special day. It was a day to feel like a kid again. The 12-year-old, from Woodburn, was showered with gifts from stores throughout the mall and his spirit was uplifted by the life-changing magic of a wish come true.
During the shopping spree of his dreams, Eric received so many toys, games, and gifts. The highlight of the day was receiving a special three-piece formal suit with a bright red bowtie, giving Eric a much-needed boost of confidence and joy.
Right now, there are nearly 300 kids in our community dealing with the pain and uncertainty of childhood illness which makes your continued commitment to our mission is even more critical. Your support helps Make-A-Wish® Oregon transform the lives of those local children. You are bringing hope to children like Eric.

Jade meets her cuddly companion!

Wish kid Jade and her puppy Gypsy
Jade's one true wish was to have a golden retriever puppy to snuggle with at home. A cuddly companion to keep her company after her kidney transplant. In the months leading up to her wish coming true, it's all she could think about. The Vancouver teen prepared by reading books about puppy care and eagerly anticipated the moment she'd come face to face with her new best friend, Gypsy.
Because of donors like you, Make-A-Wish Oregon was able to deliver hope to Jade in the form of a fluffy four-legged companion during an especially difficult time. For Jade, this life-changing moment was also an important step toward gaining her own independence. Caring for Gypsy all on her own is a way for the teen to move forward, after an extremely challenging time in her life.
Thank you for providing hope to children battling critical illnesses through your support of Make-A-Wish Oregon. During times like these, knowing there are others that embody generosity is both humbling and inspiring.

Jordan's wish for photography equipment

Jordan, a 16-year-old from Philomath, wished to have equipment to support his love of photography - a new hobby he had discovered while staying close to home. Recently, Jordan was surpised with friends and family cheering him on as Make-A-Wish® Oregon revealed that his wish was coming true.
Since his wish was granted, Jordan has been putting his talents to work, capturing beautiful shots of local flowers, birds, and landscapes. He created his own social media page to share his photography, all taken with his camera and equipment, gifted by donors like you! Check it out at @jordan_indrawan_photography on Instagram.
A wish can bring hope, strength, and joy to children and their families during a time when they need it the most.
“I would like to personally thank all of you that supported me in my journey fihting and defeating cancer. The path was difficult, but the desntination is well worth it,” said Jordan, on the day of his wish reveal.
Your donation helps Make-A-Wish Oregon transform the lives of local children. With your help, we hope to grant 140 wishes in 2020 to local kids, like Jordan.
