The district of Malhan is one of the beautiful tourist areas in the Al Mahwit Governorate in Yemen, in terms of their heights, agricultural terraces and historical forts. Iit is located in the western part of it at the top of the majestic mountain at its high altitudes. Melhan is characterized by a wonderful and magnificent mountain nature in addition to the many sites and important monuments, which make it one of the most important Yemeni regions in terms of archeology and tourism. This directorate is an integrated tourism natural protected area for natural, environmental and archaeological tourism.
Malhan Natural Protected Area is located in Malhan District. In the western part of Al Mahwit Governorate, which borders the reserve from the west Al-Walajeh area and Antar basin towards Al-Kidan. To the east is the mountainous region of Beni Ali.From the south, the Yur Valley and the Al-Darqa district of Hafash District. On the north, Hamadan and Habash. The area is about 320 square kilometers. The population is about 570 people.
Malhan is natural reserve which was approved by the decision of the Prime Minister for the year 2010. We are aspiring to include it in the list of World Heritage Reserves. The reserve consists of four beautiful areas: 1) Hatab Valley; 2) Maqbah Valley; 3) Yawr Valley; and 4) Antar Basin
