Love & care for abandoned babies Ukraine & Moldova

Dear Supporter, 

War causes poverty, orphans and social orphans. Many children with disabilities have been left behind since the war started. 

Through our partners, we support families during this difficult time of war, and we are making sure families stay together by preventing abandonment. 

We prevent child abandonment by providing support with food, medicines, clothes and therapy, psychological support and anything needed to keep the family together. 

Families like Maria’s, her husband left the family, and she was on her own to raise her 4 children. She was desperate as there was no food to feed her children. She needed a job and support until she receives a salary. Our partner Family Love, Transnistria, supported Maria with food and clothes for the children and help her find a job. She is forever grateful for the kindness she received during a time of crisis.  

Our work in the baby hospital continues and although the war makes everything more challenging, our nurses and social workers are working hard to make sure the babies receive the love and care they deserve.

Dear Supporter,

As war continues in Ukraine, so does the work of our partners there. There have been many obstacles in many of the projects we support, but our partners continue to help and support the people of Ukraine in any way possible. 

At the hospital, although many people are leaving their positions to move to a safer place with their families, our staff at the hospital and the baby home are staying with the babies. 

Our therapists are working with the babies and toddlers to improve their physical health. 

For babies who need more personalized help, therapists work with the doctor to make sure she is doing what is required to help them. 

Therapist: 

‘’I do physical education and physical therapy with the kids. I select various sets of physical exercises that are used in the treatment, prevention, and rehabilitation of diseases. Physical therapy for children is included in the comprehensive treatment of many diseases. Doctors make a diagnosis. I am developing sets of exercises that help in the treatment of those diagnoses. I work both with groups and individually. I plan these classes in accordance with the state of the child's health, general physical training, clinical manifestations of diseases. Thanks to these classes, problems with the spine, diseases of the musculoskeletal system, elimination of small body curvatures, flat feet, kyphosis of the thoracic region, etc. are eliminated. Proper breathing is formed. I try to do all those exercises with great care, love and playfully. Children love these procedures very much. And I am pleased with the positive results. Thank God for the opportunity to serve these children.’’
